Episode 2033: The Business Side of things
The presentation went surprisingly well. You could not believe what this has lead to. The client Amber & Crowley liked your proposal and found it fresh and groundbreaking.A few more weeks were spent on tweaking a year long contract that had an option for another year. You had to get another friend; Jason to help out with legalities. The marketing plan was changed to finally suit additional workload that Amber & Crowley wanted. But it kept all busy. Throughout this you could not dismiss that Alex was finally right about her 'Door'.
In one of those late night preparations you found yourself taking too much time looking at her. Alex would never fall into the Attractive Women category on Reddit. She's not the selfie kind. Her breasts were small and her frame almost childiah.But there was something about her that made her younger that she actually is.She suddenly caught you.
'Why are you looking at me like that?'
'Uh...nothing' you replied nervously. She went back to hunching over the documentation.
'Thanks Alex' you said sheepishly 'Couldn't have done this without you'
'We are not in the clear yet Poster Boy' she replied without looking over her pile of work.
'You still have to do the finale tomorrow. You'd better not screw it. Mrs Chloe is the last bastion you'd have to clear'
'Yeah but this is still too great to be true' you replied, showing the bits and pieces of cut pictures, lines of corporate mumbo jumbos that you were too happy to learn and understand.
'Last month I was on the brink of a mental breakdown trying to get my life together'
'Now. At least I HAVE a life'
This time it made her stop and looked at you with a smile
'I'm doing it for me too you know!' and gave out a small laugh. She shook a finger at you
'Just remember. You owe me one.'
Both of you ended up finishing the dosiers at 3 in the morning. Alex ended up sleeping on your bed and you on the sofa.
