Episode 2036: Date with Alex
You never actually dated Alex. She was always that friend who just wanted to be a friend. Nothing more. The two of you got along well. She was always the one with ideas. And you'd be the muscle. You'd do the technical stuff.That night both of you just wanted to have a drink at a decent place. Food was optional. Maybe get drunk but just buddies drunk. So you spent the night at a bar not to far from her place. And you spent hours just talking about all the projects you went through together. Laughter got louder as the glasses of beer and vodka lime piled up. Then came the dare. The tequila dare.
By the time Amy the waitress cleared your table to close shop, both of you were pisssed drunk.
'We love it when friends get drunk and not puking on the floor for other friends to clean up'
'Thank you Amy. We wouldn't know if you didn't tell us' you declared and Alex just laughed
Both of you suddenly became aware of this and it was a struggle to split the bill between the both of you. Amy just smiled and reached out a big calculator from behind the bar. The numbers were big and that really helped. But then you decidee that tonight would be on you
'Fuck it Alex. I'll pay and you give me a place to sleep ok?'
'Sounds like a fair deal'said Amy trying to moderate
'No. Lemme pay and I'll let you sleep at my place' came Alex's proposal
'Better still'said Amy.
Now being drunk made this all too clear that which deal was best.
